Daniel Ferrer-Vidal

Director of Primary Care Camp de Tarragona @ Institut CatalĂ  de la Salut

I am a specialist in family and community medicine. I have experience in care as a family doctor and as a manager, with management positions continuously and always in public services, since 1997, in Barcelona, Terres de l’Ebre, Baix Llobregat Litoral and Tarragona. Currently, I am director of the DAP Camp de Tarragona, since 2011. I am particularly interested in management issues (I have been leader of the steering group of the Catalan Society of Family and Community Medicine -CAMFIC-; also member of the management and influence group Bsalut), and communication issues (master in NLP) and leadership (Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching Program, and GESAP master). I have been president of CAMFIC (February 2004 to February 2005), the scientific society with the largest number of members in Catalonia; also vice-president and secretary of the same society from 1998 to 2004. I have been associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona for undergraduate students, postgraduate tutor for residents of Family and Community Medicine from 1995 to 1997 in the Basic Health Area of La Mina and I have taught in the training program for residents of Family and Community Medicine in the Costa de Ponent Teaching Unit, in Barcelona, from 2007 to 2013. Currently, member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Primary Care Directors, since June 2022, representing Catalonia and as a member of leadership and talent recruitment.

Since January 2020 I have led the implementation of the “Centers in Transition” project, in nine of my primary care teams in the Tarragona area, and in a coordinated and parallel way with 5 teams of the La Tecla delivery organization and the Muralles Associative Base Entity, which have been joined by the rest of the primary care providers of the Camp de Tarragona. In 2023 it becomes a mentoring project for the transformation of teams based on a new method of providing information.
