Francesc Torralba was born in Barcelona in 1967 and has a PhD in Philosophy, Theology, Education and History of Art. He is a Professor of Philosophy and teaches at Universitat Ramon Llull, in addition to imparting courses and conferences all over the world.

During his career as a writer, he has won several Essay Prizes for works in Spanish and Catalan and some of his books have been translated into many languages.

He chairs different ethics committees in health and social institutions and is Vice-Chair of Aldeas Infantiles SOS Catalunya.
