María Victoria Zunzunegui

Doctor in epidemiology. Honorary professor @ Université de Montréal

María Victoria Zunzunegui is a doctor in epidemiology from the University of California at Berkeley. She was a professor of epidemiology at the Université de Montréal School of Public Health where she worked from 1999 to 2016. Her research addresses gender-related social and economic factors that determine health and functioning in old age. She currently publishes on the effects of nursing home management on mortality during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain.
