Roberto has a PhD in Economic and Business Sciences and postgraduate studies in Health Economics (University of Tromso, Norway) and was awarded a WHO Global Health Leadership Fellowship in Geneva. Since 2021, he has held the position of Director for Research and Training at Fundación Gaspar Casal. Previously, he was the Director of Deusto Business School Health, Academic Director of the Master’s Degree in Health Management and a Professor at Universidad de Deusto (2016-2020). From 2009 to 2015 he was the Director of the Basque Institute of Health Innovation (O+berri). He is a consultant and advisor on health reform in Latin American countries in World Bank, BID and OPS projects. As a researcher, he is interested in the application of Management Sciences to Health and in particular, in relation to organisational innovation, care integration development and digital transformation.
